Have been going to this campsite for about 16 years, kids have grown up holidaying there and love it. The park is great for kids, the pool is warm and the site is geared towards the family. No bar or clubs ensures a nice relaxed atmosphere. The best beach is caerhayes (castle beach) which is a short drive away, suggest stopping for cream tea at farm/b&b on way back. Beach down hill by campsite is a nice walk but steep, not for small kids.  Toilets are always clean and showers are hot but not too hot.  Shop stocks usual things for a campsite shop and is also an off licence.  My kids have returned there as adults and kept in touch with people they have met there when younger, as families return year after year(that says it all).

Excellent campsite.  THE PITCH: It was a quiet week at Sea View so luckily we got a good choice of pitch. Excellent position with an amazing view of the Sea.  THE STAFF: Very helpful and polite. Always say good morning / afternoon and just a really friendly feel to the place.  THE FACILITIES: Perfect. Nothing much else I can say. The sinks for doing your washing up were clean (very clean in fact) hot water all the time, lovely clean showers and baths. Nice little shop on site that sells pretty much all you need. For kids there is a massive play area a swimming pool and a games room. Perfect.  THE LOCATION: As long as you don't mind a bit of a drive then the location of the site is quite good. I found it to be a little out of the way but saying that I think that is just to do with the fact that I’m used to the hustle and bustle of the city and was a bit of a culture shock. Nearest pub is around 2 - 3 miles (around about a 25 minute walk) the beach is about a 15 minute walk.  WHO DOES IT SUIT: Everyone. I think out of School holidays is good if you want a quiet getaway like me and my partner but I would imagine that during the school holidays it gets quite busy.  WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR: The washing machines are a little bit pricey at £6 a pop. The showers are hot and probably a little too hot for kids but there are baths available.  Overall we had a really good stay. I can highly recommend this site and I will definitely be returning. Very good value for money.

From Theonlyreview, June 2009
Fantastic site, very level pitches, grounds were in fantastic condition, well looked after. Play area, tennis courts etc were all so spacious, a lovely area for kids to run free and be safe with their own independence. Great dog walking area, separate from the campsite so you not disturbing anybody, lovely to have a walk and let the dog run.  Toilets were clean and tidy, plenty of sinks, toilets and showers. Hairdryers and somewhere to plug you straightners, hooray!  Pool was excellent, again very clean and warm, lovely area to sunbathe, you could have been in the Med, plenty of sunbeds. Good activities around the pool for the kids, chess, draughts and table tennis.  Take away was delicious, great curry sauce!  Good BBQ areas, one with a log fire, very cosy.  Shop is small, but stocks most things you need.  Crazy golf and Pitch and putt was all free, fab, especially with the kids always wanting to play.  Staff were very helpful and friendly.  It was full when we went, but it didn't feel busy, just right.  Thanks Sea View will def. Visit again soon

This site met all our expectations. The site staff appeared very friendly. Our pitch was level with plenty of room - the grass was kept in excellent condition, more like a well kept lawn than a field which you can encounter at some sites.
The toilets/shower blocks were modern, bright and spotlessley clean - they had hanging flower baskets outside, which added a really nice touch. All of the leisure facilities on the site were kept in good condition - we weren't able to use these because we had our 9mth old puppy dog with us.  We used the large dog walking area - this had lovely views of the coast in the distance. The site is ideally situated to visit all the quaint little fishing villages along the coast. There were quite a few dog friendly beaches around the area, including a beach which was a short walk from the site.  The only small thing you could fault was that the gents toilets were closed due to it being a quiet period at the beginning of July - the men had to use the womens toilets which had no shaver sockets.  We would definitely like to return to this site again.

From Kaz + Dave, July 2008
This site sets the benchmark by which all other sites should be judged! Spotlessly clean with helpful, friendly staff always on hand and willing to assist in any way. Toilet blocks are wonderfully clean, with musac gently playing in the background.  The sports field is plenty big enough for everyone and all games are free, with a minor deposit for equipment. The swimming pool is heated to a good temperature and is an excellent sun trap.
Pitch sizes are more than adequate, my frame tent seemed almost lost compared to other sites I have been on. An additional benefit is that there is no clubhouse or bar on site which lessens the impact of noisy revelers and detracts in no way from the overall ambiance of the site.  Facilities on site are more than adequate and are well maintained, I particularly enjoyed the (several) free Chimenea barbecues that are dotted around the site. The site shop, though small, was well stocked and reasonably priced, early morning fresh baked croissants are a must!  Two minor gripes are that the nearest sandy beach is a short drive away while the nearer beach requires some stamina for the steep uphill return journey, and secondly it saddens me, as a responsible dog owner, that there are still people who feel it is too much effort to clean up after their dogs, particularly as the site provides, free of charge, doggy bags to any who request them. I have no hesitation in recommending this site to friends and family and will certainly be making a return visit in the future

From Mike S., August 2007
Seaview was a bit tricky to find but well worth it. Facilities included adequate but clean toilet/shower block especially in the one field, variety of stock in shop, big play field, swimming pool well used by our two kids (10 and 6), quirky but fun crazy golf, electric hook up(we borrowed a 4 plug adaptor from them as it was our 1st time with hook up). You can walk to lovely quiet beach but remember that if you go down on the way there. We walked to a couple of local pubs (1-2 miles) and ate reasonably well. Good but hilly cycling, we hired some bikes including one with trailer for 6 yr old. Fantastic views in both directions seaward and inland. Lots of space esp. With our large family (6mx6m) dome tent, level pitch, tarmac roads around for access, some muddy bits. Would definitely return. Nice part of the country to visit if a bit far from midlands!!

From MadKev, July 2007
Myself ,my wife and our two children stayed on this site for a week in July last year (2007).  The pitches are all on level ground. Ours had an electric hook up and was of a good size. There was a water point nearby.  The thing that really strikes you about this site is the fantastic landscaping and flora. It would do justice to a formal country house garden.  There are large play areas for the children and two grass tennis courts and a putting green. The equipment for these can be hired at the site office for payment of a refundable deposit.  The site boasts a large outdoor swimming pool with stepped sun terraces around it. There is a profusion of Hydranga plants along these terraces which make the whole area a treat for the eye. Near the entrance to the pool there are two toilet / changing cubicles. Near this is the smugglers rest which is a picnic / barbecue area with wooden bench type tables and seats.  Not far from the pool entrance there is crazy golf.  There is a shop onsite to cater for the day to day things.  There is no bar or similar on the site as it is very much geared to daytime activities. Possibly as a result of this it is peaceful and quiet at night.  Mevagissey and Gorran Haven are a relatively short distance away by car and the town of St. Austell is also within easy reach by car.  The toilet / shower block is fantastic. It would do justice to a quality hotel. These are also kept very clean. The laundry area is well equipped and the dish washing area is spacious and airy.  This is easily the best site we have been on and would not hesitate in recommending it to others.

From Aftonwater, July 2007
My husband and I, together with our 3 year old son stayed at Seaview last July for 2 weeks in our tent and had a fantastic time. Loved it so much that I took my mum back there in September and stayed in one of the statics. Excellent too.  The site is immaculate, well kept and well run. The pitches are level and spacious. The views are to die for.  Toilet block was modern and clean. The shower block was fantastic with hot water all the time, there were 2 hairdryers you could use free of charge too. The campers kitchen was fab with microwave and oven. Childrens play area was great and kept my son entertained for ages. The pool and patio area were gorgeous, I felt like I was holidaying in the med (when it wasn't raining!)  All the staff were lovely, always happy, polite and smiling particularly the couple who run the shop. If you needed anything when the shop was closed they didn't mind if you knocked on their door and asked, nothing was too much trouble. Another bonus for me was the ice machine in reception, nice touch.  The only downside for me was that it is a little isolated with a lack of things to do locally outside of your unit in the evening without having to drive. Having said that, it makes for a totally relaxing, peaceful holiday

From Nlr, July 2007
Can't really add anything to the other reviews about this site - it has won Campsite of the Year 2007, and this is well deserved.  By far and away the best site we have ever stayed on.  We had a luxury pitch and the facilities were great - and never a queue.  If we had had good weather, this would have been as good as it gets!

From Shirlandy, May 2007
Just returned from a short 4 day break at this site.  First thing to mention is that the weather was the worst for a spring bank holiday (this was country wide) with high winds, lashing rain and V cold temperatures. So this did take the shine off the experience.  Second, this was our first ever camping trip so I have no reference to compare the facilities.
We were located in the luxury pitches which were excellent, we had a large Diablo 900 tent and a big MPV and they were lost in the pitch. The luxury pitches have their own toilet block which comprises ~ 8 individual bathrooms with shower, toilet and one even had a bath (£1 charge).  The camp site facilities were very good with ample space for ball games, tennis pitch, badminton and volleyball.  The pool is kept at an unbelievable 70 deg. Which was the only reason we could use it given the very cold weather.  Minor gripe, the shop should be better stocked with provisions for making a meal other than a fry up. If you plan to self cater visit St Austell first. However the pubs we ate at were fantastic (Barley Sheaf, Crown) so I wouldn't bother cooking.  We plan to go again, hope the weathers better next time.

From Ken M., May 2007
We stayed here over Easter.  It was very quiet as they don't advertise they are open this early.  The facilities were excellent.  The toilets, showers and dishwashing areas were well presented and immaculate.  There is a microwave and small oven in the campers' kitchen. There were also baths available.  There is free badminton, tennis, crazy golf and table tennis, mostly in a separate field away from the tents.  It is a short walk to the beach, (but feels like a very long one on the way back up the hill!) and some pitches have sea views.  It is set in a lovely area near the sea with loads to do.  There is a shop on site and the staff were very friendly and helpful, answering all our questions and even opening the shop just for us a couple of times.  All in all an excellent site.

From Beccylovespurpl, April 2007
Highly recommended, the owner walked around the site through the week and stopped to ask for our feedback which I thought was a nice touch. A great site for younger families the huge back field was a bonus the kids loved it. Can't comment on the swimming pool as we didn't use it weather was a bit off but the shower and toilet facilities are second to none will definitely return.  The only criticism I can give is that getting to it can be difficult as the roads are extremely narrow, but the only traffic are other tourers and the occasional farmer.

From DeltaOne, August 2006
This site is the best ever. More like staying in a hotel than a camp site. Everything is so clean and beautiful. Loads of space for the children to play. You can even get ice from reception which was very helpful in the heat. I could not fault anything at all with this site we will definitly go again.

From Helen C., July 2006
We love this site and have been there for the past three years; excellent facilities, great pitches, helpful friendly staff (thanks, Wayne!), wonderful pool and just a great and totally relaxing place to be.  The perfect site for kids who like outdoor activities; a superb playing field, crazy golf, badminton, kids play area and plenty of space to bike, play ball or fly a kite - fab.  It's worth a walk to the nearby beach - just save some energy for that walk back up the (considerable) hill!  No disco or bar (hooray!), peace and quiet at night and altogether a superb place for a family holiday.  Now, if we could do something about the weather?

From Liddenham, May 2006
Our second visit to Seaview International and again we were very pleased with our stay. We booked for a Friday to Friday over the Bank Holiday weekend but extended until the Sunday as the weather was fine and the campsite very peaceful. The toilet blocks had been changed since our last visit with the addition of individual cubicles in both the male and female. Everything was very clean and repeatably cleaned throughout the day. Excellent play facilities for the children and plenty of space on the pitches even with our large Diablo 900 we still had room for the table and chairs to be laid out without encroaching on the neighbours. We are going back again in the summer as the site is well placed for visiting Cornwall.

From HappyCamper99, May 2006
This was our fourth visit to this site over a period of about 20 years.and it still does not disappoint. Very clean, and for a large site, still has a quiet feel about it. On top of the hill so a bit windy but the views more than make up for that.
Very popular with family's with a large play area, dog friendly as well. Pool area is excellent, with a couple of BBQ's built into a small courtyard, which is a nice touch. Perhaps the shop could be extended a touch to cope with the customers, although it does stock all the essentials ie wine!
