Staff very obliging. Service with a smile. Toilet and shower facilities spotless. Family bathrooms were an added bonus. Loads of nice little touches like radio playing in the loos, coffee machine in the laundry etc. Lovely outdoor pool and suntrap patio area (although we didn't get the weather to take advantage of it!) Small beach a short hike away. Kids loved the play area and plenty of space for football, volleyball, tennis or badminton (nets supplied). Shop was small but sold the essentials and fresh bread, doughnuts and croissants every day. This site is a bit off the beaten track but that was part of the appeal. International clientele which was really nice to see. Only two small gripes - would benefit from a small pub/restaurant on site and mops and buckets should be supplied to encourage everyone to do their bit keeping the showers etc. Clean and tidy. Would have no hesitation in recommending this site to family and friends. We'll be back!

Excellent site. We were fortunate to have a sea view pitch, which was a good size. Toilets were in the process of being modernised and were immaculate. My only critisism would be the sinks are very small. The staff were fantastic and the shop is a god send. The park has a large play area for children and a bbq areas for parents which I found kept all the noise away from the caravans. The only downside to the park is location. If you like to stay on site it's perfect, however it's narrow lanes and 20 minute drive to the main road is a draw back. I would rate this site at 90%

Reading these reviews it's clear there's a huge difference according to the time of year. We just stayed in mid April and thought this vied for being the best site we'd stayed at in 30 years, even by the high standards of the best continental sites. We were blessed with fine weather and could take the short walk to see the glorious camellias and magnolias in full flower at Caerhays Castle. Also the excellent coastal walking around the Dodman to Gorran Haven. The facilities are everything you could wish, including kitchens, good sized showers, some toilet/wash-basin units and even family units with baths. Sometimes high quality facilities go with a rather authoritarian management style (cf Caravan Club sites!) but not so here, where the reception was outstandingly friendly and helpful. For instance, we wanted to take the St Austell brewery but there weren't any leaflets about it. No problem, they looked up the website for us and printed it out the details we needed. Nor are the off-peak prices anything like as high as reviewers have mentioned for high season. Even in Easter week, for £12 we had a big selection of large pitches of croquet-standard lawn. In fact we were generously allowed to use one of the fully-serviced super-pitches with a fantastic view of the sea for no extra charge. The moral is: pick the best time to go!
